About the birds for adoption --

We raise some species of birds in our aviary.  Cockatiels, Pyrrhura Conures, Budgies (English & American), Ringneck Parakeets, and Moustached Parakeets.

Additionally, we obtain some babies of other species from small ethical responsible local breeders and raise them in our nursery.

All baby birds that are Pyrrhura Conure sized & larger are DNA sexed.

We also have birds that for one reason or another have been brought to us to find a new home. Most are very sweet birds and just need a little loving care. Some have been neglected or abused and need a patient caregiver. One thing they all have in common is they need a stable, loving home.  If the species are not sexually dimorphic, they are DNA sexed.

Adopting Birds vs. Buying Birds

Why do we say you are "adopting" a bird instead of "buying" a bird?   The addition of a bird into your family involves a lifetime of commitment much like the adoption of a human child. Remember, your feathered family can often live as long or longer than members of your human family with many of the same physical and emotional needs.
