When you walk into Laurie Baker's bird exclusive shop, the sign behind the register says it all:  "Owned and operated for the well being of our feathered companions." 

Her passion for birds and concern for their conservation and treatment was the concept behind the creation of Feathered Follies in 1993.  Starting as a small home-based breeding operation it has grown to an operation of 4,000 square feet in Concord, California. You can see us from highway 4!  The goal has always been and will continue to be, quality, education, and service.

As part of her desire to share knowledge and learn more herself, Laurie has spoken at numerous bird associations throughout the USA.  Additionally, her articles have been published in several magazines and newsletters on both the local and national level.  Also, Laurie has co-authored a book called "The Essential Cockatoo", which became available mid September, 2008. 

Folks in the community have voted the shop "Best if the East Bay - Pet Shop 1999 & 2006".  Also, we were awarded the "2008 Best of Lafayette" award by the US Local Business Association, "Best of Business - Animal Speciality Services 2009" City of Concord and "CMUS Talk of rhe Town Award for Excellance in Customer Satisfaction 2010"

Feathered Follies carries only the highest qaulity products and review each toy we sell to be sure it is as safe as possible.  We carry Harrison's Bird Food, GoldenFeast, Hagen, Zupreem, and more.  We also carry cages, supplies, playstands and if we don't have what your looking for; we will do our best to find it for you.
